A 50,000 mt lithium battery recycling project is about to be put into operation!] Recently, the website of the People's Government of Gucheng County, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, announced a joint acceptance inspection for the annual 50,000 mt lithium power battery resource recycling and comprehensive utilization project of Camel Group Resource Recycling Xiangyang Co., Ltd. (covering leaching workshops, extraction workshops, storage tank areas, discharge rooms, MVR workshops, etc.). The total investment of the project reached 5 billion yuan. Construction of the first phase of the project commenced in August 2021, and currently, a production line capable of annually processing 2,000 mt of scrap batteries and producing 80 mt of ternary cathode precursors has been constructed and put into use. Additionally, supporting infrastructure such as public power, acid preparation and water supply, media treatment, hazardous waste storage, and road networks have been built.
